BOSTON ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION [BAA]
Among the nation's oldest athletic clubs, the Boston Athletic Association was established on March 15, 1887 under its first president, Robert F. Clark, with the support of leading sports enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and politicians of the day.
On April 19, 1897 the first Boston Marathon was run from the town of Ashland to Boston Massachusetts. From 1897-1968, the Boston Marathon was held on Patriots' Day, April 19, a holiday commemorating the start of the Revolutionary War and recognized only in Massachusetts and Maine. The Patriots' day tradition continues today making this the nations oldest and most recognized marathon.
Chameleon DG, in partnership with Activate Sports and Entertainment, was commissioned to produce a fresh, more contemporary design approach to the event. The challenge was to refresh the design without a complete departure from the traditional look that most have come accustomed to. All signage was revitalized including the Finish/Starting Lines, Sponsorship Banners, Winner's Podium and the nationally recognized Photo Bridge that hovers over the Finish Line. Reactions to the overall design theme and fabrication for the event were extremely positive and were well received by both the BAA and all fans both in attendance and those viewing the marathon nationally.
Chameleon DG takes pride in building and or revitalizing brands. We understand how brands are consumed by consumers and strive to get our customers across the finish line..... FIRST
