PRUDENTIAL CENTER
NEW JERSEY'S CUTTING-EDGE ARENA

 

The Prudential Center was scheduled to open its doors to the new state-of-the-art arena on October 25th, 2007. With only the logo displayed prominently on the side of the building, the Prudential Center was in need of innovative brand solutions that would captivate and increase brand awareness of not only the building itself but its tenants. Inside its unique architecture, the Prudential Center plays host to the NHL's New Jersey Devils, the NCAA Division 1 Seton Hall Pirates plus various shows that will perform there throughout the year. Chameleon DG in partnership with Activate Sports & Entertainment, was called upon to develop comprehensive branding, sales and marketing strategies centered at identifying the needs and amenities of its consumers utilizing innovative design and technology to promote these multiple brands. Below, we highlight a few aspects of the many communications programs set fourth in this elaborate campaign.

 

Bon Jovi Wall Mural
The Prudential Center opened its doors on that October night with the first of 10 Bon Jovi concerts including 5 different opening acts. The shows received rave reviews from the New York/New Jersey media and were the HIGHEST grossing concert events of 2007 in North America bringing in over 150,000 fans. Chameleon DG was called upon to create an innovative way to commemorate the record breaking event. Chameleon DG rose to the challenge of this unique opportunity and created a 24' x 24' Bon Jovi wall mural for fans to forever re-live their place in history. Fans are emotionally charged and the images of these shows will indelibly be etched into their memories as they re-live these shared live events each time they re-enter the arena.

 

Premium Seating Level
A major aspect of the state-of-the-art Prudential Center is the exclusive, Premium Seating Level. A brand identity was a necessary and intrigual component to the marketing success. Chameleon DG developed a communication strategy that was inspired by the grand and luxurious new amenities, adopting a style and graphic treatment that truly reflects the luxury of the Premium Seating Level at Prudential Center. Additional components to this campaign outside of the brand identity, were HTML newsletter components and supporting marketing collateral.

In short, the the creative branding needs necessary to market this state-of-art-arena were and continue to be many. Chameleon DG repeatedly rose to every marketing challenge creating the foundation for a brand that sucessfully reaches its consumers now and will continue to well into the future.
