SPECIAL EVENT MARKETING
The Sports Museum is a non-profit, educational institution housed in the TD Garden that celebrates Boston & New England sports. Teamwork, Determination, Responsibility, Courage, and other qualities of character are words used to describe Boston athletes they honor making this, without hesitation, "The Greatest Sports City in America." The Sports Museum's annual signature summer celebration, in association with New Balance and NESN, called the Tradition, honors Boston athletes defined by the descriptors listed previously. This "livingroom" style event is typically a whose who of Boston sports greats gathering to re-new acquaintances and celebrate careers. The class of 2009 featured Ken Hodge of the Boston Bruins, Sam Jones of the Boston Celtics, 2-time Olympic champion Nancy Kerrigan, College hockey legends Jack Parker & Jerry York, Troy Brown of the New England Patriots and Curt Schilling of the Boston Red Sox.
Chameleon DG was commissioned to produce the overall design theme for the event which included an emotional video/microsite, instrumental to drive ticket sales. A successful composition of audio, video, flash and photography excites the viewers senses making this interactive invite an extremely valuable marketing asset as an event promoter. Final attendance results exceeded all expectations. Even with troubled economic times, this years 8th Annual Tradition saw more fans enter the Garden for the celebration than any of the seven years previous.
